  1. I am just starting a Campaign for Clean AIr in Larkhall & London Road which will focus on improving cycle and pedestrian access. My forthcoming article in Local Look’s September issue mentions Cycle Bath as one of the key groups working on sustainable transport locally. I am a non-driver myself and would like to cycle more but am nervous on-road after once coming off my bike at a roundabout. Instead I walk along the towpath as well as the London Road (not pleasant). My husband regularly commutes by bike to Bristol Temple Meads and the London Road is the worst part of his journey – from Bath Spa station the route is of course off-road. Re London Road: I have long thought that an off-road cycle route along Kensington Meadows linked to a bridge across the river e.g. to the new Cleveland Pools site would provide a popular and safe cycle route that bypasses London Road.
