Where to get a cheap bike
reCYCLEd is a project run by Bath charity Julian House which offers quality second hand bikes, servicing and repairs.
The project runs from 35-36 Corn Street, Bath BA1 1UF and is open Monday to Saturday from 9.30am to 5pm.
Servicing is priced from £25 and reconditioned bikes from £35. The team are also on the look out for unwanted bikes in any condition.

Recycle Your Sundays
Tranquil countryside - quiet lanes - village pubs - relaxed pace - all cyclists welcome. 25-35 miles. Meet 10.15 for 10.30 (except where otherwise specified) in the Abbey Churchyard. www.bathrys.org.uk
CTC Bath Section
Sunday rides vary in length (45-65 miles), but generally there is at least one long (faster paced) and one short (easy paced) ride each month, to cater for riders of varying ability.

Portsmouth Cycle Forum is having some issues with the way the local authority deals with abandoned bikes, it doesn't seem very fair! They would like some help and info if you can give it.
Free Cycle Maintenance Classes
Bike shop Evans Cycles are offering free bike maintenance courses at their shops. The nearest is in Bristol where they have a 2-hour session on the 1st and 3rd Monday evenings of each month from 7pm until 9pm.
The sessions are open to anyone and cover basic cleaning and servicing plus an opportunity to ask any questions you have.

Free Cycle Stands
In association with BANES council, Life Cycle are running a scheme called ‘Take a Stand’ which offers free Sheffield stands to small businesses and community groups. (Free includes delivery – the organisation has to install).

In BANES, the current arrangement is to offer 1 stand for free. The site must not be on the public highway. Apart from that there aren’t really any catches.
