Recycle Your Sundays
Tranquil countryside - quiet lanes - village pubs - relaxed pace - all cyclists welcome. 25-35 miles. Meet 10.15 for 10.30 (except where otherwise specified) in the Abbey Churchyard. www.bathrys.org.uk
CTC Bath Section
Sunday rides vary in length (45-65 miles), but generally there is at least one long (faster paced) and one short (easy paced) ride each month, to cater for riders of varying ability.
The Tuesday run is usually an all day ride taken at a gentle touring pace with a stop for lunch. There are occasional Cycling / Youth Hostel weekends, and involvement in local and national CTC events. www.ctcwest.org.uk
Bath Cycling Club
Sunday Morning Run - The main run of the week, many groups, about a 4-5hour ride with a coffee stop. All groups do between 50 and 60 miles.
Tuesday All Day Run - Two groups, with a more social feel. Average 70 miles in winter and 80+ miles during the rest of the year.
Saturday Chaingang Training Ride - Two groups, with a faster pace, and more formal riding. 42 mile circuit with no stops. www.bathcc.net
VC Walcot
Saturday - A social ride of around 25 miles, an ideal place to start out. It is perfect for improving fitness, meeting people and an introduction to group cycling. The group meets at 8 am outside Cadence Cycles at the top of Chelsea Road, Weston.
Sunday - A ride of around 50 - 70 miles at a steady pace. (approx 14-17mph) If required, the group will sometimes split into two, allowing one group to do a shorter ride. This is ideal for Etape riders or just for fun. The group meets at 9.30 am outside the Guildhall.
